About Luigi Bonocchi
Biography
Luigi Bonocchi is a soundtrack composer and multi-instrumentalist from São José dos Campos, Brazil, trained at Berklee College of Music.
With a background as a percussionist and trombonist, Luigi creates original music for films, audiovisual projects, and visual stories, combining rhythm, texture, melody, and emotion to support each production with a unique sonic identity.
His work moves across orchestral, jazz, ambient, Brazilian, and electronic styles, always adapting the music to the narrative, the image, and the creative direction of each project.
Methodology
Luigi’s creative process begins with understanding the story behind the project. Before writing the first notes, he studies the scenes, references, emotional direction, pacing, and technical needs of the production.
From there, he defines the musical language that best supports the narrative, whether through orchestral writing, ambient textures, jazz elements, Brazilian rhythms, electronic sounds, or a hybrid approach.
Each composition is built to work with the image, not over it. The goal is to create music that supports emotion, enhances the rhythm of the scene, and gives the production a clear sonic identity.
When needed, Luigi also prepares stems, sheet music, and technical materials for recording, editing, and post-production, giving directors, producers, and editors more flexibility throughout the process.
